April : My Month in Review
April is over. The first third of the year has simply flown. I’m having a good time, in terms of books it’s been a good start to the year. I hope you’ve all had a good start to 2019 and a good April too. I’ve read two more of my SPFBO finalists and the reviews will follow shortly – and at the moment I’m still keeping on top of my reviews although I do have a few outstanding from last year. This month I’ve read a total of 11. My month in covers is here and my month in reviews looks like this:

Review Books:
Even more restraint this month than last – I realise I have some catching up to do and I can’t do that by constantly adding more so here it is:
- Girls with Sharp Sticks by Suzanne Young – I’ve already read this and will review shortly – I really enjoyed it.
- For Emily by Katherine Slee
- The Absinthe Earl by Sharon Lynn Fisher
Cover compare:
I like both covers but the little blue shoe cover appeals more to me.
Which is your favourite?
Hope you’ve all had a good month.
Looks like you had a great month of reading. And I didn’t even realize Little Darlings had multiple covers, but I do like them both a lot. The blue shoes are a really nice element, though!
Yeah, there was another cover too, blue, with a nappy pin – but it said ‘not yet finalised’ so I didn’t want to use it.
Lynn 😀
My Lovely Wife – a seriously good read! Speaking of which, I’ve been seeing lots of thrillers on your reading lists/review copy posts lately. It’s a genre I want to read more of too, you gotta send over any recs! 😀
Yes, I liked the sound of that one – I did request it from Edelweiss but didn’t hear back so couldn’t resist buying a copy. I will do – I’m enjoying reading some thrillers in between but I still haven’t quite found exactly what it is that really hits the spot for me – I’m working on it though.
Lynn 😀
Ooh you got a copy of The Absinthe Earl??😁 I cannot wait to read it😊
Yeah, I’m looking forward to that one too.
Lynn 😀
WOW! Eleven books in a month… That’s what I call a Power Reader, indeed! 🙂
It’s a better month than I normally have – 8 or 9 is more the norm.
Lynn 😀
Good job on 11 books!! 🙂 I hope you have a great May!
I hope you do too 😀
Lynn, I am pleased to hear you have had a good start to the year in your reading – I hope it will continue 🙂 Mine has been a slow start, however I did enjoy another three books in April – My particular favourite being the riotous Guards! Guards by Terry Pratchett. 😀
Need to read Pratchett – more time please.
Lynn 😀
If only I could give you more time! 😛
If only….
11 is a great month! So glad you’ve been enjoying your reading year so far, hope it continues to be a good one. ❤
Fingers crossed 😀
