Weekly Wrap Up : 28th April 2019
I hope everyone has had a good week. I’ve been rewatching Game of Thrones and reading of course. Yes, I know that everyone has been watching the new series but I’m waiting – well, I decided to rewatch the entire series and I’m nearly there – then to the latest. I’ve read three books this week. Here’s my week in review:
My books:
- Little Darlings by Melanie Golding
- Ruthless Magic by Megan Crewe
- Girls with Sharp Sticks by Suzanne Young
Next week’s reads:
- Nocturna by Maya Motayne
- Dark Shores by Danielle L. Jensen
- The Gods of Men by Barbara Kloss
Upcoming reviews:
- A Boy and His dog at the End of the World by CA Fletcher
- Little Darlings by Melanie Golding
- Ruthless Magic by Megan Crewe
- Girls with Sharp Sticks by Suzanne Young
I’d love to know what you’re reading this week.
I’m so curious to hear what you think about Dark Shores. It’s been getting so much hype!
Will be starting it soon. Oh dear – hype!!!
Lynn 😀
I just got notice that Girls With Sharp Sticks is in at my library so I’ll be picking it up tomorrow. I love the cover for Gods of Men.
It kept me really intrigued. Bit of a quick ending but overall I was glued to the page.
Lynn 😀
I have Ruthless Magic… wondering your thoughts!
My review will be out soon.
Lynn 😀
I can’t wait to dive into Little Darlings. Awaiting your review with interest!
It’s an unusual one. I enjoyed it but I don’t think it was quite what I expected. It had a police procedural feel to it in some respects and a lot more reality and less ‘fantasy’ than I expected. But it’s definitely dark in places.
Lynn 😀
I’m looking forward to your review about A Boy and his Dog at the End of the World: one of the most poignant stories I read this year…
And once you set to watch GoT’s last season, prepare yourself for high levels of adrenaline – at least as far as the third episode is concerned! 🙂
Three books is great! Right now I’m reading The Last Sun by KD Edwards and it’s so much fun.
Lynn, I don’t understand how you could wait to start watching the new GOT?!
Well, two reasons. We decided to watch the whole series again and we have nearly finished, but not quite, and I have to say that the rewatch was so worthwhile and really good. And, we both like to binge watch tv – waiting a week inbetween just annoys the socks off me. So, We’ll start watching in a couple of weeks, by which time we can watch all available in quick succession with no horrible wait inbetween and probably just about catch up in time to watch the final episode spoiler free.
Lynn 😀
Well yes I understand why… but HOW can you wait – I simply CAN’T wait for GOT 😛
