Weekly Wrap Up : 14th April 2019
I am so busy at the moment. Far too much going on – I feel dizzy. Still, it’s all good although I feel I’m falling behind a little. I finished The Time of Blood this week and loved it and here’s the rest of my week:
My books:
- A Time of Blood by John Gwynne
- One Word Kill by Mark Lawrence
- The Brotherhood of the Wheel by RS Belcher – audio book
Next week’s reads:
- Emily Eternal by M G Wheaton
- A Boy and His dog at the End of the World by CA Fletcher
- Storm of Locusts by Rebecca Roanhorse
Upcoming reviews:
- Aching God (Iconoclasts #1) by Mike Shel
- The Binding by Bridget Collins
- A Time of Blood by John Gwynne
- One Word Kill by Mark Lawrence
- The Brotherhood of the Wheel by RS Belcher – audio book
I’d love to know what you’re reading this week.
Can’t wait to read your reviews for A Time of Blood and One Word Kill!
Thanks 😀
I’ll be hitting up A Boy and His dog at the End of the World sometime next week too. Its finally made its way to the front of the TBR queue! 😀
It’s receiving such a lot of love that I’m very excited.
Lynn 😀
Lynn, it was a tiring week for me on the run down to the end of a long term, but I did manage to finish reading the rather hefty The Tudor Crown by Joanna Hickson and started reading Love Wins by Rob Bell, for my church’s book club. Happy reading this coming week – I hoping to do a lot with my time off! 😀
I hope your time off is relaxing and you fit in lots of reading.
Lynn 😀
Thank you! 😀
One third of the way in with A Time of Blood and I’m totally loving it – but it’s no surprise, since John Gwynne turned into one of my favorite authors in no time at all…
And happy reading with A Boy and His Dog at the End of the World: you will find it’s an amazingly beautiful story 🙂
Thanks – I’m really excited to pick that one up – it’s my next read.
Lynn 😀
I have one more book to knock out of the way before I can start A Boy and His Dog at the End of the World. I’ve not heard any bad things about it yet so I’m really excited!
Me too 😀
I just finished Trail of Lightning last weekend. I really enjoyed it.
Good to hear, I’m really looking forward to that one.
Lynn 😀
I feel you on being busy and starting to fall behind. Good luck with your reading and such this week! Right now I’m rereading The Goblin Emperor again because I love that book. 🙂
I wish I did more rereads – and I’ve not read the Goblin Emperor – should it be a priority??? In a nutshell, why do you love it so much?
Lynn 😀
I don’t do as many rereads as I would like these days, too many new books!
I love it because it’s so hopeful! And Maia is such a lovely protagonist, you really want to root for him. The other reason why I love it so much is something that is tough to articulate, but there is this thing with characters who have been through a lot of crap and have somehow maintained a sense of…innocence I guess. They think the best of people still. And also characters who are starved for love and family. There are some lovely moments in the book as Maia learns to navigate his way around the court trying to find friends he can trust.
I will have to read it – soon. It gets bumped up the list.
Thanks
Lynn 😀
Hope you enjoy!
Thanks lovely 😀
I’m going through Boy and Dog right now and loving it (everyone seems to be reading it this week!). I’m sure you will too! And I’ve been meaning to read The Brotherhood of the Wheel forever now. It sounds like a lot of fun. 😀
I loved Brotherhood of the Wheel and have the second book lined up on audio. Can’t wait for that or Boy and Dog.
Lynn 😀
