I hope you’re all having a good week.  My reading plans have been a bit skewed this week as I’ve been out A LOT.  Much socialising and catching up = little reading.  So, I’ve read (and really enjoyed) The Binding and I’m about a third of the way through (and already really caught up in the story) John Gwynne’s a Time of Blood:

My books:

  1. The Binding by Bridget Collins

Thebinding

Next week’s reads:

  1. A Time of Blood by John Gwynne
  2. One Word Kill by Mark Lawrence
  3. Emily Eternal by M G Wheaton

Upcoming reviews:

  1. Aching God (Iconoclasts #1) by Mike Shel
  2. Sowing (The Purification Era #1) by Angie Grigaliunas
  3. The Binding by Bridget Collins

I’d love to know what you’re reading this week.

Thanks – I haven’t read a book by ML that I haven’t loved so I have high expectations.

Lynn, I didn’t finish any books this past week, but I have made good progress into historical fiction The Tudor Crown by Joanna Hickson. Happy reading in the week to come! 🙂

  3. Tammy

I just finished Titanshade (so good!) and now I’m reading The Princess and the Fangirl. Next will probably be The Luminous Dead or Atlas Alone. Looks like you have a good week coming up!

    • @lynnsbooks

I read your glowing review of Titanshade and now I absolutely want that book in my life.
      Lynn 😀

Currently reading The Binding, hopefully will finish tonight!

I’m hoping to start The Binding this week! I’ve heard it’s less magical realism and more relationship-focused than I initially thought, so I’m curious to see how it pans out. 😀

    • @lynnsbooks

Definitely relationship focused – but I found it quite gripping.
      Lynn 😀

I also didn’t have a hugely great week as my reading time was interrupted by a lot of things. Here’s to a better week this week for both of us, hopefully!

There was no doubt that A Time of Blood would be a worthy successor to book 1, but learning that you are already enthralled at one third of the volume is great news indeed… 🙂

I must, must MUST get around to reading Malice – as I’m aware I am missing out on a special author! And I also have Emily Eternal waiting to be read. Have a good week, Lynn – and I hope you continue to have a lovely sociable time, AND a good reading week, too!

    • @lynnsbooks

Definitely a bit too much socialising, it is lovely of course to be seeing lots of friends and family but I think I need to give my poor body a rest now.
      Lynn 😀

I do know what you mean! There comes a time when curling up with a cracking book is more of a treat than going out…
