I didn’t do a weekly wrap up post last week because the date coincided with my Month in Review post so let’s see what I’ve been up to (apart from sitting trying to figure out where all the time is going to – is there a black hole? Did I not get the memo?)
My last wrap up was 23rd September – since then I’ve read:
Week ending 30th September :
- Priest of Bones by Peter McLean
- Dracul by Dacre Stoker – review to follow
Week ending 7th October:
- No Sleep Till Doomsday by Laurence MacNaughton
- The Tethered Mage by Melissa Caruso
- Creatures: The Legacy of Frankenstein by Emma Newman; Tade Thompson; Paul Meloy; Kaaron Warren; Rose Biggin
Next week’s reads: (i’ve put three but that’s probably a bit ambitious, still…)
- In the Night Wood by Dale Bailey
- Charmcaster by Sebastien DeCastell
- Chasing Graves by Ben Galley
Upcoming reviews: (these look bad! I am trying to catch up but my blog was too busy for more posts last week):
- Starborn by Lucy Hounsom
- Envy of Angels by Matt Wallace
- Noir by Christopher Moore
- The Burning Chambers by Kate Mosse
- Trail of Lightning by Rebecca Roanhorse
- Record of a Spaceborn Few by Becky Chambers
- Dracul by Dacre Stoker
- No Sleep Till Doomsday by Laurence MacNaughton
- The Tethered Mage by Melissa Caruso
- Creatures: The Legacy of Frankenstein by Emma Newman; Tade Thompson; Paul Meloy; Kaaron Warren; Rose Biggin
I’d love to know what you’re reading this week.
I just finished the 12th volume in Seanan McGuire’s October Daye series, and I can tell you that the stakes just got higher than you can imagine: knowing you are a fan of the series and the characters, I can’t wait to hear what you think of Toby’s continuing journey 😉
I need to just pull my socks up and catch up – I love this series and now you have me all intrigued.
Lynn 😀
eh eh eh… I knew it would happen! 😀
Happy reading!
I’m trying to read two books this week, and I’ll be happy if I finish them: The Silent Companions and Sisters of the Winter Wood. Have a great week!
Oh, I want to read The Silent Companions I’ll have to check out your thoughts.
Lynn 😀
Looks like a pretty good couple of weeks. I hear you on the time…where is it going??? I can’t believe it’s a week into October already!
This week I’m catching up on some stuff from last week. An Exercise of Vital Powers by Ian Grigoire and finishing up the second Loki book by Joanne Harris.
Have a great week, Lynn!
Hope you’re having a great week 😀
Thanks, Lynn! So far, so good. 😀
Lynn, I don’t think I got the memo either! This week I finished my re-read of Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins, and I started reading The Pilgrim’s Progress by John Bunyan and Kin by Snorri Kristjansson. Happy reading and good luck with that review backlog! 😀
Ooh, I wonder how you’re finding Kin – it’s a very different style of murder mystery?
Lynn 😀
I am loving it – Actually I’ve nearly finished it!
Cool 😀
Finished 😀
Look, the cover colors are matching up again! So many oranges and yellows! Just finished No Sleep Til Doomsday, and it was fun 🙂
I know – it always puzzles me how these covers ending up matching.
Lynn 😀
I’m excited to hear your thoughts on Dracul. I really need to read that one.
Yeah, hopefully that should be up in the next week – and Creatures.
Lynn 😀
