Weekly Wrap Up (Double Whammy): 19th August
I didn’t get a chance to post my weekly wrap up last week, and in fairness I’ve been so busy that I’ve done very little reading – even over the two week period that this post shall now cover. Well, in fairness, that’s not entirely true because I’ve also been making headway with my SPFBO books too which are not listed here.
So, the past two weeks I’ve read three books:
- Foundryside by Robert Jackson Bennett
- Temper by Nicky Drayden
- City of Lies by Sam Hawke
I’ve also made a start on my SPFBO books reading a good portion of the first three in my batch and also starting the fourth book. And I feel like I’m making headway with my reviews so all in all I feel like I’m doing okay with my own self imposed goals.
Next week’s reads:
- The Mystery of Three Quarters by Sophie Hannah
- Bad Man by Dathan Auerbach
Upcoming reviews: –
- Starborn by Lucy Hounsom
- Envy of Angels by Matt Wallace
- Noir by Christopher Moore
- The Burning Chambers by Kate Mosse
- Foundryside by Robert Jackson Bennett
- Temper by Nicky Drayden
- City of Lies by Sam Hawke
I’d love to know what you’re reading this week.
19 August 2018
I know what it feels like to be so busy, hope you have some free time soon. You’re making good progress with the SPFBO books!
This week I’m going to be reading The Book of Hidden Things Francesco Dmitri and White Knight by Jim Butcher.
Hope you have a great week!
Looking forward to your review for the Book of Hidden Things.
Lyn 😀
Yeah, I have two more out of my batch to check out by the end of the month so I should be on track.
Lynn 😀
Can’t wait to see what you thought of City of Lies. I really enjoyed it.
Also, look forward to seeing what you think of Bad Man.
I’ve not started Bad Man yet – I seem to be doing very little reading this month – too much socialising getting in the way!
Lynn 😀
I’ve been averaging two books a month the last several months. Summer is just too busy.
I’m really looking forward to your reviews of Foundryside and City of Lies. I just finished Bloody Rose and just wow.
Note to self – catch up,
Lynn 😀
Ouuu! Looking forward to your reviews. I’m currently reading Foundryside and loving it!
The characters are so good aren’t they?
Lynn 😀
I’m currently reading City of Lies, enjoying it so far 🙂
The characters are interesting and the mystery element too.
Lynn 😀
Can’t wait for your thoughts on Bad Man, Temper and Noir. They are all on my TBR!
Very soon.
Lynn 😀
Looking forward to your review of City of Lies! I’d love to review for SPFBP one year, but I don’t think I could manage that many books in addition to new releases.
Well, tbh, I don’t read all thirty books from cover to cover – this year I’ve undertaken to read at least 30% – if the book isn’t working by that time I put it down and move onto the next one. Sometimes I go over to see what’s happening next and then I usually read between 6-10 of my 30 books.
Lynn 😀
I’m really looking forward to reading your review of Foundryside:)). Take great care and hopefully the coming week will be less hectic.
I hope so – but it’s summer so I’m not holding my breath.
Have a great week.
Lynn 😀
And you, Lynn:)
Lynn, last week, I finished reading time-travel romance Hannah’s Moon by John A. Heldt and started a re-read of The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. I have also continued reading a history of Seven Sovereign Queens by Geoffrey Trease and Christian non-fiction But is it Real? by Amy Orr-Ewing. Happy reading this week! 🙂
Happy reading to you too Jessica – your reading is booming!
Lynn 😀
