Weekly Wrap Up : 5th August 2018
Better late than never I’m just squeezing in a post about my weekly comings and goings. It’s been a busy week. I’ve read two of my books and about to pick up the third (I’ve also started two of my SPFBO books, posted an interview and managed to slot in a couple of reviews so all told I don’t feel too bad about my blogging activity this week: How’s your week been?
This week’s reads:
- Bitter Orange by Claire Fuller
- The Tower of Living and Dying by Anna Smith Spark
Next Week’s Reads:
- Foundryside by Robert Jackson Bennett
- Temper by Nicky Drayden
Upcoming reviews: –
- Starborn by Lucy Hounsom
- Envy of Angels by Matt Wallace
- Noir by Christopher Moore
- The Burning Chambers by Kate Mosse
- You Die When You Die by Angus Watson
- Bitter Orange by Claire Fuller
- The Tower of Living and Dying by Anna Smith Spark
I’d love to know what you’re reading this week.
I admire you for always being able to stick to your reading plan. I’m already tempted to break mine, as I debate what to read next 😀
I wish I did always stick to the plan – although, I do find that this weekly wrap up helps to organise me a little. I’m a bit seat of the pants but looking at what books are coming up on the timeline helps to keep me on track a little. Not easy though. Although, it’s not that difficult really because I request the books that I really want to read so I’m usually excited to pick them all up – it’s just a toss of the coin really.
Lynn 😀
My week was a weird one and very busy. My biggest struggle is finishing what I’m reading.
I know what you mean – sometimes you just seem to get hung up and not be moving forward.
Lynn 😀
Looks like you had a productive week!
Last week was great for me. Boss was on vacation and work was slow so may have spent a lot of time catching up on blogging. 😉
Have a great week, Lynn!
I just finished Foundryside and LOVED it. Such a unique book. Sometimes I think RJB isn’t really human, his stories are so different😁 lol
I’m so excited to read Temper. I loved her first book and am anxious to see if I love this one as much!
I can’t wait to hear what you think of The Tower of Living and Dying, and if it keeps the “dark” promises of its predecessor 🙂
I love the look of Foundryside – that cover is stunning! As ever, huge respect to all that you do towards the SPFBO contest and I hope you have a great week, Lynn.
You too Sarah 😀
And I’ve now got Foundryside – yippee!
Yippee – are you starting it straight away. I’ve begun but still early doors – we ca be reading buddies!
Lynn 😀
Ooo… I could do. The book I’ve just started isn’t urgently required:)). I’ll start it tonight – that would be marvellous!
Great. It’ll be good to have somebody to talk to as and when things develop. 😄
I look forward to it:))
As you know my blogging has really fallen behind with end of term and my holiday, but fortunately my reading has continued. Last week I finished two of my longer reads: the swashbuckling adventure Sandokan, The Pirates of Malaysia by Emilio Salgari and the hefty biography of Charles II by John Miller. Happy reading this week! 🙂
I know how you feel. I really fell behind in May. These things happen though – life just insists sometimes.
Happy reading to you this week.
Lynn 😀
Thank you 🙂
