June : My Month in Covers
June has been a month of sunshine. I’ve read seven books this month, not as many as normal but I’ve caught up quite a lot with reviews which I’m pleased about. Below is a quick round up of the books I’ve read during June – all displayed in covers. My month in review will follow shortly. Hope you’ve read some good books this month.
Feast your eyes upon these lovelies:
I am definitely getting hold of Spinning Silver! Your June covers look lovely together, Lynn and I’m delighted you had such a good run of reviews. Let’s hope July is also a great month:)
Spinning Silver was so good. Definitely you have to read it – I’d love to know what you think but for me I think it’s the best fairytale retelling I’ve ever read.
Lynn 😀
It looks as if someone will have to buy it as a delayed birthday present for me! *stamps foot* now!
Lol
All the covers are very fetching. I love the ones for Witchmark (wistful) and Ravencry (spooky). Here’s to another great month of reading and wonderful covers! 🙂
Thanks – hopefully my review for Ravencry will be hope soon – the cover is very fitting.
Lynn 😀
Lovely! I’m really curious to hear about Bitter Sun. Did I miss your review?
No, it’s not posted yet. It’s a fantastic book, but it’s grim, and it’s not fantasy – although there’s an element of magical realism towards the end. So well written, very dark, small town story, has a feel of Stand by Me but a lot more grim.
Lynn 😀
Wow, didn’t you just start Spinning Silver like a couple days ago? You blew through that one fast. Must be good!
NGL – I think Spinning Silver was the best fairytale retelling that I’ve read. It made me want to cry. It was so good. I couldn’t stop reading. I can’t even write a review because I’m lost for words.
Lynn 😀
Looks like a lot of great reads for June! I can’t get over that cover for Witchmark–love it so much.
Witchmark is a great cover isn’t it. And the story is great too so win win.
Lynn 😀
[…] And there was June – come and gone in the blink of an eye. I’ve read seven books this month which is less than normal but I’ve been trying to catch up with reviews and I’ve made quite a bit of progress. Hope you’ve all had a most excellent June. I’ve had some great books over the past six months. My reading so far this year is here and I’ve managed a total of 52 books (which is a little less than normal but plenty of time to catch up). Hope the first half of the year has been good for you all. My Month in Covers is here. […]
Well done for catching up with your reviews and I absolutely love all these covers! 😀
Thanks -I do have a few reviews left but I’ve definitely made a dent in them so I’m pleased with progress.
Lynn 😀
