Hi everyone.   Such a busy week this last one.  Travelling, celebrating birthdays and generally being entirely too sociable for my own good.  I did very little reading for most of the week and was clearly absent from the blog but now I’m back and I’ve managed to read a couple of books and make it half way through a third.  I’m disastrously behind with reviews so need to sit down and catch up.  So, without further ado:

Books read:

  1. Paris Adrift by E.J. Swift
  2. Pilgrimage to Skara by Jonathan S Pembroke

Next Week’s Reads:

  1. Semiosis by Sue Burke
  2. The Toymakers by Robert Dinsdale (50% already read)
  3. Mister Tender’s Girl by Carter Wilson

Upcoming reviews:

  1. Starborn by Lucy Hounsom
  2. Envy of Angels by Matt Wallace
  3. The War of Undoing by Alex Perry (my first SPFBO book)
  4. The Belles by Dhonielle Clayton
  5. Chaos Trims My Beard by Brett Herman
  6. The Chrysalids by John Wyndham (Vintage Sci Fi book)
  7. The Gone World by Tom Sweterlitsch
  8. Paris Adrift by E.J. Swift
  9. Pilgrimage to Skara by Jonathan S Pembroke

I’d love to know what you’re reading this week.

I don’t consider reading two and a half books “very little reading” so in my book you did great! I’m trying to start Semiosis soon, but I took on way too many review book this month and I’m struggling to get to everything. So I just started one of my March books, to hell with February! Lol

Yeah – I’m with you on the February books – I thought I had everything under control but clearly not! I was thinking of doing something similar because once you get behind with one book it pushes all the others out of sync too – you kind of have to make a choice to skip something and come back. I’ve got less books for March and April so hopefully I’ll catch up. Good luck with your reading.

Seems like you still had a good reading month. I’m curious about your thoughts on Paris Adrift as I have that one and also Mister Tenders Girl. Glad you feel like things are getting back on track.

The problem is if you’re reading a lot you get behind with the reviews, which is a conundrum because the whole purpose of reading is to review and spread the word! Doh. Paraid Adrift – funnily enough I’ve read two time travel books this month, one very dark, cutting edge and a bit daunting called Gone World and the Paris Adrift which is a lot lighter in tone. I’m still thinking about both of them – time travel always does that to me. But, I liked both in totally different ways.

Paris Adrift sounds intriguing, and I can’t wait to read your review to learn more! 🙂

I have so many reviews to write – I’ll have to just take some time out and get them written.

Lynn, I have also had a busy week with two parent’s evenings at work. Sadly I didn’t manage to finish any books, however I did start reading The Dragon’s Blade: The Reborn King by Michael R. Miller and I am close to finishing Christian non-fiction The Case for Grace by Lee Strobel. Happy reading!

Happy reading to you too Jessica. I look forward to your thoughts on The Dragon’s Blade.

I don’t think that two and a bit books constitutes ‘very little reading’ and I’m delighted you have been busy partying allll week. Hoping the festivities last a bit longer and that you have another great week:)

Thanks – surprisingly my reading was all at the latter end of the week – I didn’t read anything until Wednesday.
I hope next week is a bit less chaotic – although I have enjoyed my fun.

It’s great isn’t it. I’m reading that one now – definitely psychological thriller so far.
