Books and travelling with Lynn 
Can’t wait to see how Chaos Trims My Bead tuned out, and I vaguely remember reading about The Toys Makers (though I forget where), but I do remembered being interested in it.
Chaos Trims My Beard lived up to it’s title. It was fun. I hope the Toy Makers is good – I’ve not managed to start it yet unfortunately.

Yeah – this week hasn’t been so good though. Lots going on in ‘real’ life which has kind of taken over.

I’ve just started Tempests and Slaughter by Tamora Pierce but it’s so slow that I’ve temporarily put it down. I feel bad, everyone else loves it😐
Oh no – these things happen though don’t they. I always feel so odd when I like or dislike a book that everyone else feels the opposite to. I’ve not read any TP so I was hoping this would be a good starting point.

Ooh, curious to see what you made of the Gone World, if it twisted your mind the way it did mine 😀
It certainly did twist my mind – wow. Still thinking about it tbh. It really is very clever and quite at the top of the game in terms of being cutting edge but I also had sligbtly mixed feelings – mainly to due with some of the things I’ve not completely understood and also the ending – which was crazy and chaotic. I did like it though but it was dark and very ‘doom and gloom’.

I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on The Belles. I love the setting and have been contemplating buying it or having the library order it. But I’ve not really seen many reviews on it. I’m also interested in Gone World. Hope you have a great week!
I liked The Belles – tbh I didn’t expect to – I had an idea it might be a bit too much about dresses and make up, etc, as it is it was a read that kept me intrigued. Gone World was a total mind mash – I still need more time to even think about it although I do think it was good – just a bit mind blowing.

The Belles! Very excited about that one, everybody and their mum seems to love it so far. And The Chrysalids is a book I’ve always meant to read, but never got around to…
The Belles was good – I had a few reservations but nothing series because, in spite of my doubts going in, it kept me intrigued. I hold my hands up because strictly speaking I didn’t really think I was going to like it.

Over the last week, I have finished reading historical crime fiction A Monstrous Regiment of Women by Laurie R. King, I continued to read Christian non-fiction The Case for Grace by Lee Strobel and I have just started reading fantasy fiction The Dragons’ Blade: The Reborn King by Michael R. Miller.
