Waiting on Wednesday : The Testament of Loki (Runemarks) by Joanne Harris

“Waiting On Wednesday” is a weekly meme that was created by Breaking the Spine.  Every Wednesday we highlight a book that we’re really looking forward to.  This week my book is : The Testament of Loki (Runemarks) by Joanne Harris.

There isn’t even a write-up/blurb for this book yet but even so I’m really excited.  I’ve read a good number of books by this author and love her work.  I read the Gospel of Loki and loved it and so I’m very excited for this one.  Feast your eyes on this gorgeous cover:

Due out March 2018.

Don’t you love it when even without a synopsis, we can get excited about a book. I never picked up the first one in this series but keep seeing it in my library. Maybe I should reconsider.

I really enjoyed it, I also really like this author so I’m always keen to pick up anything she writes.

You can’t go wrong with a dragon. I like the cover. Enjoy this book when you get to it.

I hope it’s good – i usually like this author, she very rarely lets me down so I’m fairly confident I’ll like this one.

I feel like “The number one best selling author” is a bit much, but I’m glad there is a new book coming out in this series, although I’m not reading it. I know I’ve read books by Harris, I need to do some investigating😀

    • @lynnsbooks

Haha – I’d missed that (although doesn’t it just refer to an author that’s been on the NYT best sellers list? – that’s what I thought so no doubt completely wrong!) I do like Harris, I’ve not loved everything she’s done though but I think that’s not necessary a bad thing – she chops and changes and not everything works for everyone I suppose.

    Amazing dragon! It is eye-catching indeed… 😀

It’s a great cover and really goes well with The Gospel of Loki.

Not that I’m shallow. At all. But that cover is completely amazing…

    • @lynnsbooks

Not that I’m shallow either …. lol – we just appreciate good cover art.

I do like your alternative explanation! And it clearly explains why I CANNOT resist a pretty cover…

      • @lynnsbooks

        See 😀

I recently found out about this one too, and I’m pretty excited for it. Even better, I think it actually has a US pub date, due out only a couple months after the UK release 🙂
