Here we are again with the Friday Face Off meme created by Books by Proxy . This is a great opportunity to feature some of your favourite book covers. The rules are fairly simple each week, following a predetermined theme (list below) choose a book, compare a couple of the different covers available for that particular book and choose your favourite. Future week’s themes are listed below. This week’s theme:
As purple as the heather – a cover which is mostly purple
And I’ve chosen a book which I read quite some time ago: Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia:
My favourite(s) this week, well I quite like the very last one with the spooky trees but I’m drawn to this one (although I don’t like the red badge!):

Which is your favourite?
Next week – a cover featuring a heart
Future themes:
29th September 2017 – Faint Heart Never Won Fair Lady – a cover featuring a heart
6th October 2017 – ‘Then let the crabs be cursed by Odin’ – a cover featuring a Viking ‘

15th December 2017 – Hubble bubble toil and trouble – a cover featuring a portion/perfume bottle
What a great choice this week, Lynn:)). I think I have two contenders – The French cover with the dewdrops on the black background is just so stylish and cover no 5 with the white trees against a purple background, which is beautiful and rather creepy.
I love the creepy trees – they’re like ghosts aren’t they?
Lynn 😀
I considered this one as I was browsing my goodreads shelf for any purplish cover! I can’t say I really enjoyed the book, but some of the covers are lovely. I think m favorite is the third one!
I think I read two from this series and then ran out of steam. I was still okay(ish) about YA at that point – it would probably annoy me more these days.
Lynn 😀
I think I have the same favorite you do, although I also like the 3rd one with that purple cover, and the last one with the trees as well. And I kinda #7, with the moon, as well.

Haha – Greg, you like quite a few of these. I must confess I like the spooky white trees (they look like ghost trees!).
Lynn 😀
Was this week’s theme created for me?! 😛 I haven’t read this book, but by pure looks alone I like the last cover with the creepy trees and purple writing 🙂
Haha – Jessica, I actually thought of you with this week’s theme.
Lynn 😀
Nice cover, indeed. And the first one in the topmost row is not bad, either… 🙂
There were plenty for this one although I have to admit that some of them were very similar. I do like the spooky trees.
Lynn 😀
Ahhh I loved the Beautiful Creatures series 😫 I wish they continued the movie, even though the book was way better
I always tend to think the books are better tbh – I don’t think I’ve seen this one adapted.
Lynn 😀
Wow, such different covers. I’m drawn to the one that’s all purple with the white tree – it has to be the purple though because it’s not that awesome of a cover otherwise. Purple is my favorite color!
Purple seems to be a popular colour – I’m sure it was once reserved for royalty so perhaps you’re from a long and noble line 😀
Lynn 😀
I like the purple Russian cover, the third on the top row.
That one is very creepy isn’t it!
Lynn
Good choice 😀
