I’ve had another busy week and weekend.  Changes at work have meant I’ve had little free time and this weekend apart from a party on Saturday evening we’ve been moving our daughter into her university accommodation and also spent all Sunday visiting relatives – so the week has flown and I’ve had very little reading time, plus I’m shattered now!  I did manage to finish An Alchemy of Masques and Shadows which was just excellent and I’m now reading and enjoying the other two books I was hoping to finish: Godsgrave and Sea of Rust.

What I’ve read:

  1. An Alchemy of Masques and Shadows by Curtis Craddock:

What I’m hoping to finish next week:

  1. Godsgrave by Jay Kristoff
  2. Sea of Rust by C Robert Cargill

Hope you all had a good week.  Let me know what you’re reading.

Sounds like my week. September is turning out to be busier than I expected, and I’m sure my reading and blogging time is going to suffer. Oh well! My son goes away to college next weekend, so it sounds like we’re in the same boat!

Haha sounds like we’re both in the Titanic. Grab a life jacket. Only kidding of course. We’ll both catch up but sometimes these life events just happen and other things take a back seat – it makes me feel kind of guilty though.

Wow – that’s a momentous week and week-end! I think you’re allowed to find your reading schedule has slipped somewhat… I’m looking forward to seeing what you make of Sea of Rust. I hope next week is just a little less full-on.

Nothing seems to be getting less full on – but I’ll get there eventually, one way or another.
      Lynn 😀

I’m planning on grabbing Sea of Rust for my kindle this week. Looking forward to your thoughts. Sounds like you’ve been busy so I hope things settle down some.

Can’t wait to read Sea of Rust – my reading has fallen apart at the seams the past couple of weeks, not because I’m not enjoying it just simply because everything has gone mental!
      Lynn 😀

I hear you. My week has been busy with meetings and orientations and trying to work around the new schedule now with my daughter starting school. All my “reading” has mostly been audiobooks, because I’m too wound up to sit down and concentrate on a book 😛

I’m just shockingly bad at the moment. Everything is up in the air and all over the place and my reading is sporadic. I’ll catch up but I definitely need a couple of weeks.
      Lynn 😀

It sounds like it was a busy week for all this past week. I just finished reading Sea of Rust, and I enjoyed it. I hope you do, too.

I’ve never picked up a Jay Kristoff book, but people rave about them… I do own Illuminae, but haven’t picked it up yet. I know he likes to use creative formatting, but I worry this is mess up my reading flow.

    • @lynnsbooks

I enjoyed Illuminae although do still need to pick up No.2 – I’m loving the Nevernight series so far.
      Lynn 😀

I am currently reading the rather amusing Agatha Raisin and the Murderous Marriage by M C Beaton 🙂
