“Waiting On Wednesday” is a weekly meme that was created by Breaking the Spine. Every Wednesday we highlight a book that we’re really looking forward to. My book this week is : Before the Devil Breaks You (The Diviners #3) by Libba Bray
After battling a sleeping sickness, The Diviners are up against a group of new and malevolent foes–ghosts! Out in Ward’s Island sits a mental hospital full of lost souls from people long forgotten. Ghosts who have unusual and dangerous ties to the Man in the Stovepipe Hat also known as the King of Crows.
With terrible accounts of murder and possession flooding in from all over New York City, the Diviners must band together and brave the ghosts haunting the asylum to bring down the King of Crows.
Publication date: October 2017
I’m kind of glad I’ve not started this series. I really want to read it but it seems the books have been spaced so far apart which would drive me nuts. Now I can just read all three once this one is released. Great choice.
I’m not a lover of long gaps in between series – but, confession, I’ve only read No.2 of this and I don’t think it suffered too much by my not reading the first book – the wait between 2 and 3 hasn’t been too long (or maybe time is flying even quicker that I thought)

I didn’t realize this series was still going on! It seems like several years between books. Love that cover, its so moody:-)
The cover is really good isn’t it – tbh I hadn’t really noticed the long gap but then I’ve been a bit overwhelmed catching up so didn’t realise.

It feels like this series has been on-going forever! I’m with Barb: I’ll most likely read it when all the books have been released, because there’s no way I could endure the long wait between books.
Haha – yes, that appears to be a recurring comment here!
Lynn 😀
It sounds interesting – and what a good cover and title!
The cover is very spooky isn’t it!
Lynn 😀
Yes!
I like the premise. Enjoy it! 🙂
Thanks – I hope it’s good.

Oh, I’ve heard a lot about this series and I’m always so curious whenever I see the covers. I had no idea you follow it! Gonna have to stalk your reviews for the previous books 🙂
Well, to be honest, this is one of those books that I requested not knowing it was the second in series. And, I read it and it was totally understandable and I didn’t feel like I was missing something to be honest so at the moment I’ve only read the second and enjoyed it – so I am looking forward to this one – I don’t feel like I need to go back tbh.
