Weekly Wrap Up : 23/7/17
I’ve been away for a couple of weeks, now returned, and I need to catch up with everything. We went to Malta and look who we found:

Anyway, hope you all had a good week. July is almost over (unbelievable) and here are my books from last week:
- Graveyard Shift by Michael F Haspil – interesting start to series with vampires, changers and a mummy.
- Blackwing by Ed McDonald – I loved this
Next week I’m hoping to read:
- Princess of Blood by Tom Lloyd
- Devil’s Call by J Danielle Dorn
- The Clockwork Dynasty by Daniel H Wilson
How was your week? What you currently reading?
23 July 2017
Love the Gollum artwork! I’m looking forward to hearing what you make of the Tom Lloyd book as I enjoyed his writing, but have not kept up with his latest efforts. In the meantime, have a great week, Lynn:)
Thanks – hope your week so far has been great. I’m reading the Clockwork Dynasty at the moment and loving it.
Lynn 😀
This sounds really interesting – we’re talking steampunk, are we?
I’m one chapter into Immune (Rylee Adamson #2) and I’m already not that interested. I don’t think the timing is right. I’m not sure what book I should start reading..
Ooh, I hate that feeling of not being sure what you fancy reading next. Hope something unexpectedly excellent pops up for you.
Lynn 😀
Thanks and OH My GOSH did it ever!! I went to the book store, which I haven’t been to one in years, and bought way too many books!! It almost felt like an addiction. I can’t believe there were so many books that caught my eye. That never happens. But now I’m not sure if I should try finishing the book I started or just give up and start one of the new ones…
Yeah, buying a new selection of books is rather distracting in terms of the book you’re currently reading doesn’t it! Good luck with whatever choice you make and I hope you have happy reading next week.
Lynn 😀
Last week, went in a bit of a blur as it was the end of term and the run down to our school summer holidays. However I did manage to finish reading Chris Packham’s memoir Fingers in the Sparkle Jar and Philippa Gregory’s The White Queen. Now I am reading The Lioness and the Spellspinners by, our blogging friend, Cheryl Mahoney.
I hope you enjoyed your holiday in Malta 🙂
I look forward to your reviews.
Lynn 😀
That Gollum artwork is epic!
It’s amazing isn’t it – and huge – how on earth you can create something like that just defeats me!
Lynn 😀
Love the Gollum mural! The cover for Princess of Blood is quite cool and I’ve not heard of it before.
It’s the second in a series that started with Stranger of Tempest.
The Gollum mural is really good isn’t it.
Lynn 😀
Ahh darn, another series I don’t have time to catch up on!
Too little time..
Hope you had a great vacation in Malta. Love the Gollum’s street art! Have fun this week reading those books.
I had a great vacation thanks. And so far I’m enjoying the books from my list.
Lynn 😀
I can’t wait for your thoughts on Devil’s Call! And that’s some unbelievable talent in Malta!
I know – it’s an excellent piece of artwork isn’t it. I loved Devil’s Call. My review will be up soon, I’ve been a bit behind as usual after being away!
Lynn 😀
Hi Lynn and welcome back! I am between books – just finished Madame Bovary and getting ready to choose something fun!
I haven’t read Madame Bovary although I’ve always wanted to – did you enjoy it?
I did!
I adore Gollum and that’s an awesome picture. I’ve heard wonderful things about Devil’s Call and I’m hoping to pick it up soon myself. Right now I have to get 2 books out of the way for a tour – The Coven and The Thirteenth Gate. Then I may have some time to slip some others in.
Oooh, I will look out for those book reviews. Devil’s Call was excellent – I loved it and my review will be up shortly.
Lynn 😀
Welcome back! Hope you had a fun trip:-) I just got a copy of The Clockwork Dynasty as well, I’m looking forward to it.
I’m really enjoyed it so far – about a third in – so hope that continues to be the case.
Lynn 😀
Welcome back! Sounds like you had a great time.
Wow, the Clockwork Dynasty cover is beautiful.
I’m currently reading it and loving it.
Lynn 😀
The pictures of Malta I’ve seen in the past point to a lovely place, so I’m certain you had a great vacation! Despite Gollum’s background hissing… 😀
Haha – I loved finding that Gollum – who knows what you can discover when you root around.
Lynn 😀
Wow, look at that Gollum! I hope you had a great trip!
I had a lovely time thank you and I was so pleased when I came across Gollum staring down at me from the walls of derelict hotel 😀
Welcome back – I hope you had a great trip 🙂
I had a lovely trip and it was very relaxing – in all honesty it was so hot that I couldn’t do anything other than relax!
Lynn 😀
