It’s difficult to believe that half of 2017 has already been and gone – did somebody set time to fast forward or something because to be honest its not funny any more so please stop!

Books read:

  1. The Prey of Gods by Nicky Drayden
  2. Borne by Jeff VanderMeer
  3. The Court of Broken Knives by Anna Smith Spark
  4. Bones of the Earth by Rachel Dunne
  5. Borderline by Mishell Baker
  6. Thunderbird by Chuck Wendig
  7. White Lies by Zoe Markham
  8. Naamah’s Curse by Jacqueline Carey

My covers are here.

Some good books on this list!  The Prey of Gods was excellent, I loved it and my review will follow.  I have managed to review Borne and The Court of Broken Knives already.  Borderline I absolutely loved and in fact have read two thirds of book two already!  White Lies was really good – I’ve had this and Under My Skin for ages – White Lies is a YA set in a boarding school – I really just galloped my way through it.

I so agree about the time! July already?? And I’m really curious about Children of Time, since I’m starting to see it pop up all over.

I read a really good review for Children of Time that just made me want to pick up a copy.

Wow, I love the UK cover for Lost Boy! And I nabbed Uploaded and the Emerald Circus this week as well, hope they’ll be good!

Oh, They Mostly Come Out At Night sounds very promising and the kind of story I can’t resist! 🙂

    • @lynnsbooks

I can’t wait to pick it up – but, I do have a bit of a heavy load for July so I’m hoping to fit some of my own books in in August/September.

I can’t believe how fast this year is going either! I am pleased to hear you enjoyed your reading and you look like you’ve got an interesting batch of new books too – I am particularly interested in Lost Boy. Happy reading in July 🙂

I’ll echo your thoughts on the speed at which this year is speeding by… June was clearly a good year for you. As ever, I find myself yearning for far too many books on your lists – and I’ll be interested to see what you make of Children of Time. I think it’s one of the sharpest, most amusing and poignant science fiction reads I’ve enjoyed.

Excellent – can’t wait to read that one too. I’ve got a bit of a heavy book load for July but then I’m keeping August and September quite light – at least so far I’m managing to do so.

My load over August and September is very light because I have a ton of other work to do just then…

      • @lynnsbooks

Good luck with it all 😀

This year really has gone quickly! I can’t believe how many books you get through! But what a great batch of books – I’m so looking forward to Princess of Blood and Children of Time. I must nip back to my parents house and pick my copy up!

    • @lynnsbooks

Yeah, I’m hoping to get to that one soon, I’ve read glowing reviews.
      Lynn 😀
