Another speedy week flies by.  I didn’t quite achieve what I wanted to this week – although I did read The Fallen Kingdom and my review for that will follow shortly and I’m 50% into Prey of Gods – and loving it.  Absolutely loving it.

Another shocking week, my heart goes out to London.

Which is your favourite?

How was your week?  What you currently reading?

  1. A Book. A Thought.

I really hope to start reading the Falconer trilogy soon, to be honest I don’t know much about it, but the covers caught me 😍😍

What happened in London and Manchester is heart breaking. Otherwise I’d had quite a good week. Thankfully we have good books to escape into. This week I have really got into the short story collection Sandlands by Rosy Thornton and the Italian classic Sandokan, The Tigers of Mompracem by Emilio Salgari.

They all sound like excellent reads to escape into. Who can blame us eh!
      Lynn 😀

Yes… listened at what was going on in some disbelief last night. My daughter was very shaken as she and the family narrowly missed being in that exactly spot on Saturday night – they opted to travel up to London on Wednesday instead. My thoughts are with all those who were caught up in the atrocity and their families:(.

I’ve just finished reading Borne, so I’ll be interested in seeing what you make of it – and am desperate to get hold of The Fallen Kingdom! I hope you have a great week, Lynn.

Hope you do too and I hope you’re feeling better.
      Lynn 😀

I’ll cross my fingers too 😀

I will be reading your review the Prey of Gods when you publish it! That is quite a cover!

Looking forward to your review of The Prey of Gods, I’m so curious about it.

My heart and thoughts are also with all of you in the UK. These tragedies have got to stop.

    • @lynnsbooks

The Prey of Gods is excellent so far. I’m overdue with a few reviews so desperately need to catch up.
      Lynn 😀

  6. Rebecca

Oooo The Fallen Kingdom!! Hope it was good!

  7. Nathan

I really enjoyed The Prey of Gods. I hope you do as well.

    • @lynnsbooks

I’m loving it -I’m surprised I’ve not finished it yet but life things have gotten in the way again! Soon though. Very soon.
      Lynn 😀

  8. Pierina Reads

For some reason, I didn’t even know that there was a third Falconer book yet! Did you enjoy it?

The left-hand cover for “Borne” keeps drawing my eye. It’s mesmerizing! 🙂

    • @lynnsbooks

It’s so unusual – I keep trying to make sense of it but I’ll just have to hurry up and read the book
      Lynn 😀

I look forward to your thoughts on Borne. At some point I need to start reading Jeff VanderMeer.

    • @lynnsbooks

It looks kind of psychedelic and I’m almost scared but it’s gathering some very positive reviews.
      Lynn 😀
