I don’t know about everyone else but my week has been exhausting lots going on at work and on top of that lots going on at home, plus hard work and other chores means I actually had very little time for reading.  In fact I’ve even been going to bed early – this is unheard of!  What next.  Anyway, the only book I’ve managed to read is:

  1. Owl and the Electric Samurai by Kristi Charish

Next week I’m hoping my life will move into the quiet lane and I can spend some time chilling (and reading).  I’m hoping to pick up:

  1. The Curious Affair of the Somnambulist & the Psychic Thief (The Curious Affair Of #1) by Lisa Tuttle
  2. Rotherweird by Andrew Caldecott

And, finally, my cover compare this week:

I have to go with the more striking cover this week.

How was your week?  What you currently reading?

Currently reading Rotherweird and liking it so far. Fingers crossed you get to it this week 🤞

I have also been busy so I thought a short story collection would be perfect to dip in and out of when I had a few spare moments, last week. And I was right, you’ll be pleased to hear I started and finished Monstrous Little Voices edited by David Thomas Moore. It was so good I made time for it! 😀

I’m so happy. I loved that little collection of stories. I look forward to reading your review.

I love the Somnambulist’s cover you chose: the basic colors and the design are both captivating and intriguing! 🙂

Hope you enjoyed the new Owl book. I’m really looking forward to diving in, especially given my recent string of heavy/dark reads. I need something light and fun!

I did enjoy it – not particularly the cliff hanger ending – but I think it’s my favourite of the series so far.

Sorry to hear that your week was so gruelling, Lynn – here’s hoping the coming week is kinder to you! Your read this week looks intriguing – I wait to hear your thoughts on it. Take care:)

    • @lynnsbooks

Yeah, I’ve probably got a couple more gruelling weeks ahead but I think there’s a light at the end of the tunnel.
      Lynn 😀

I’m reading Rotherweird at the moment – it’s captivating in an off-kilter sort of way. It reminds me (of all things) of the movie The Boxtrolls: stylised and mildly satirical, with dark edges. I’m rather enjoying it 🙂

  7. Danya @ Fine Print

You’ve been so busy with your home DIY projects! I hope they’re going well, and that you get some down time soon. 🙂

    • @lynnsbooks

I hope so too – I’m getting fed up with it all now but it’s one of those ‘started so I’ll finish’ type scenarios.
      Lynn 😀
