“Waiting On Wednesday” is a weekly meme created by Breaking the Spine.  Every Wednesday we get to highlight a book that we’re really looking forward to.  My book this week is : The Fallen Kingdom (The Falconer #3) by Elizabeth May.

fallen-kingdomThe long-awaited final book in the Falconer trilogy is an imaginative tour-de-force that will thrill fans of the series. Aileana Kameron, resurrected by ancient fae magic, returns to the world she once knew with no memory of her past and with dangerous powers she struggles to control. Desperate to break the curse that pits two factions of the fae against each other in a struggle that will decide the fate of the human and fae worlds, her only hope is hidden in an ancient book guarded by the legendary Morrigan, a faery of immense power and cruelty. To save the world and the people she loves, Aileana must learn to harness her dark new powers even as they are slowly destroying her. Packed with immersive detail, action, romance, and fae lore, and publishing simultaneously in the UK, The Fallen Kingdom brings the Falconer’s story to an epic and unforgettable conclusion.

Due out June 2017

This series has always intrigued me and I am absolutely drawn in by the covers. Great choice and maybe I’ll get around to starting one day.

The covers are so eye catching aren’t they! I’m hoping the third is most excellent 😀

  2. Alyssa Susanna (The Eater of Books!)

I am really anxious to read this book too! Did you see that it is on NetGalley? I think I need to preorder it though, because the covers of this series’ books are so great. 😀 I hope you enjoy this book when you get a chance to read it!

    Have a wonderful week. =)

    Check out my WoW post!

    • @lynnsbooks

Thanks – the covers are so beautiful – I love them.
      Lynn 😀

  3. maddalena@spaceandsorcery

It look like a fascinating series, I must look into this one – and soon! 🙂

    • @lynnsbooks

I’m looking forward to No.3 to see how the author goes with the ending.
      Lynn 😀

  4. Lisa @TenaciousReader

I loved the first in this series, but am still waiting for the second to come out in audiobook! (I loved it so much, I’m scared to change formats. The narrator was excellent and this is the best kind of book to do as an audiobook)

    • @lynnsbooks

I think that’s a good plan. I think changing format mid series must be very disconcerting.
      Lynn 😀

I too am holding out for book two in audio – they have it out for book one, so I hope it’s just a matter of time it releases so I can listen and catch up with the series before this one!

    • @lynnsbooks

I think one of my goals for 2017 should be to listen to some audio – combine chores and reading!
      Lynn 😀

  6. Danya @ Fine Print

I’ve had the first book on my e-reader for ages but I haven’t picked it up yet. Scottish setting, fae, and a badass heroine? What was I thinking?! I need to read this immediately!

    • @lynnsbooks

Haha – the third is out – you could hold on and see how it all ends! I’ve started sitting on the fence with some series to see how they pan out – is that really bad??
