Here we are again with the Friday Face Off meme created by Books by Proxy .   This is a great opportunity to feature some of your favourite book covers.  The rules are fairly simple each week, following a predetermined theme (list below) choose a book, compare a couple of the different covers available for that particular book and choose your favourite.   Future week’s themes are listed below. This week’s theme:

30th December –  Ho ho ho! To the bottle I go… – a cover with drink

This week my choice is:

Whisky Galore by Compton MacKenzie.  Not a fantasy book this week but this book was just too perfect for the theme. I haven’t read the book unfortunately but it’s actually one that I want to read eventually for my Classics challenge.  Here are the covers:

my winner:

How could I resist!

Which is your favourite??

I have actually never heard of this book, but it has some really fun covers! I like you one you’ve chosen and the one next to it with the bagpipes 😀

A lot of bloggers seem to be having trouble with this theme. I immediately thought of A Criminal Magic by Kelly Lee. Maybe I should start participating! But I do like the book you’ve selected, it definitely fits with the theme:-)

Yeah, you should jump on in! I struggled with this one for sure 😀

You did certainly catch the… spirit of the challenge! 😀 😀

I love your selection and choice of covers – I’m aware that Drew had huge problems with this week’s challenge and I feel horrible for suggesting it:(. Have you seen the film? If you haven’t, you’re in for a treat – it’s an old black and white one, but great fun for all that… Any ideas what we’re doing next week?

I have seen the film – my dad loves it! and it’s great.
      Lynn 😀
Sorry Sarah – only just catching up with my comments so didn’t see your query about themes! Doh!!

Yep, I have to say this is a great pick, despite it not being fantasy. Cheers, and happy new year! 😀
