Waiting on Wednesday: Unearthed by Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner #RRSciFiMonth

“Waiting On Wednesday” is a weekly meme hosted by Breaking the Spine.  Every Wednesday we get to highlight a book that we’re really looking forward to.  My book this week is : Unearthed by Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner.  Basically, I’m being a bit premature with this one as it doesn’t seem to have it’s final cover yet and the publication date isn’t set but I was so happy when I read about this one that I had to feature it.  Patience is not a virtue that I seem to possess.

unearthed

Jules Addison and Amelia Radcliffe join forces in a tomb-raiding race on a newly discovered planet to unravel the secrets of an ancient, long-extinct civilization — only to uncover a revelation that could spell the end of the human race.

…and, okay, it doesn’t really have a full-on blurb yet either … but I don’t care.  I like the sound of it – tomb raiding, extinct civilisation, newly discovered planet – oh yes!

I love the sound of this one – I was so happy when I found it – even though it is a bit premature.

I’m also excited about this. I started their last series and really loved it. Not sure why I never finished, but this looks really good. Can’t wait to see the real cover!

I know – this sounds ace. I’m a bit premature posting for it already but I just liked the sound of it so much I couldn’t resist.
      Lynn 😀

I know it says cover coming soon, but I kind of like the here 😛 At least with the shell as a constellation, and the design and font of the title.

    • @lynnsbooks

Yeah, I know what you mean – I thought it was an interesting cover and I love the sound of the book. I’m a bit early really posting about this one but I couldn’t resist.
      Lynn 😀

  6. Danya @ Fine Print

I was quite worried that the place holder cover was the real deal for a second there, hahaha. I’m reading Illuminae right now and like you Lynn, I’m loving it! 😀

I’m putting an entry in my reminder software to keep looking for the publication of this title: the premise is a fascinating one – how could I resist?
And the provisional cover looks gorgeous enough to be the definitive one, for me 🙂

I love the sound of this one and I realise I was a bit premature about posting about it but I couldn’t resist because it grabbed my attention.
      Lynn 😀

Tomb raiding and an ancient civilization- those are like magic words to me. 🙂 Love the sound of this.

    • @lynnsbooks

It sounds awesome doesn’t it! I’m so happy I spotted it – it would probably go unnoticed by me most of the time but as I’m particularly looking for sci fi books this month it grabbed my attention – which means I can now make a note of it for next year.
      Lynn 😀

  9. Lauren @ Always Me

I can’t wait to see what these guys come up with next! 🙂

    • @lynnsbooks

This does sounds excellent! I’ve not read this author combo before so I’ll have to go and check out their other work.
      Lynn 😀

Oh I did hear that Meagan Spooner was teaming up with Amie Kaufman for a project. This must be it! Intriguing indeed! 🙂

    • @lynnsbooks

It sounds good – even if I have posted too early – I was all excited about the whole tomb raider/new planet/ancient beings thing.
      Lynn 😀

This book sounds a little bit like Prometheus only much better
