Harry Potter Month (9)

Today is day nine of my monthly challenge to post something on a particular theme. This month being Harry Potter.
Adaptations: which is your favourite??
I really enjoy the Harry Potter films, maybe they’re not everyone’s cup of tea, or maybe they are, but I just love them – they’re the sort of films I can pickup and watch repeatedly. Obviously, I don’t love them all equally and I’d say having given it some thought my favourite is Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. There’s a lot going on in this film, some great moments of humour but also, I felt a turning point in the feel of the films that seemed to become a lot darker from this point forward.
I leave you with one of the official trailers:

Goblet of Fire has always been my favorite book, but I concede Prisoner of Azkaban was probably the best adapted of the movies 😀
I love Goblet of Fire and in fact I think I have a piece on my blog from eons ago where I said it was my favourite – but, over time I’ve come to think of PoA as my favourite. My least favourite is The Philosopher Stone so it’s strange I even got into the series really!

As you well know, I love the Harry Potter films! My favourites are The Prisoner of Azkaban and The Half-Blood Prince 🙂
Good choices. I think a couple of years ago my favourite was The Goblet of Fire but I’ve changed over the years!
Lynn 😀
I think The Goblet of Fire is a visual spectacle but I am rather sad that they cut out all of Dobby’s parts.
Goblet of Fire is fantastic – I just love it to be honest. It was a shame about the cut in Dobby’s scenes and I’m sure I read at the time that quite a lot of fans were a bit displeased. Still a good film though.

I love HP and The Chamber of Secrets, and HP and The Prisoner of Azkaban. And you are so right, TPOA was a turning point in the series.
It definitely felt like a changing point! It’s odd how much I’ve changed my mind about the films. I loved Chamber of Secrets – then I thought Goblet of Fire was my favourite and now I’ve moved on to PoA!
