Harry Potter Month (5)

Today is day five of my challenge to post each day about Harry Potter. Quotes, books, films and silliness.
Yesterday’s mystery character – as if you didn’t know – was Luna Lovegood.
As part of my challenge I found out about this fun discussion event called Hype or Like over on Rant and Rave About Books – check it out here if you’re interested in taking part.
The Discussion this week is:
If you could choose 3 magical items from any Harry Potter book, which would you choose and why? Explain what you would do with them and how you would use them to your advantage.
- A Pensieve – imagine if you could see your memories in this way! More to the point – as the memory is stored in the pensieve others can also view it – I wonder if you took two people, with what they thought was the same memory, and viewed both, would they differ? That would be interesting
- An enchained car like Arthur Weasley’s Ford Anglia – just think about going to work in this and missing all the congestion and rush hour traffic! Oh hell yes! Plus – no need to find a parking space – just pull up in a whomping willow.
- A Time Turner – I think everyone must surely want one of these! Sit in all day and read a book, then turn back time and go to work – in your enchanted car!

Great choices!! Haha. All would be great things to have. I want to join in on this, sounds like lots of fun! 😁
Go for it – this is the Goodreads link – post yourself your list and link it up so everyone else can check it out!

Happy listing.
Lynn 😀
Thanks 😁
😀
I would totally want a time turner – imagine all the books you could read! I also rather like the clock Mrs Weasley has that tells her where her family is and Hermione’s magically expanded bag, that even has a tent in it 😀
I definitely need the time turner – and the bag would also be really useful – plus you could fit lots of books in there!
Lynn 😀
Perfect 😀
Thanks 😀
Oh yes PLEASE. I’m desperate for a time turner right now! Thank you for this fun post, Lynn:)
I think all book lovers should automatically be gifted with a time turner – just to help with the tbr!
Lynn 😀
Yes! And when trying to write while looking after grandchildren…
ahh, yes, of course! For writers too – because everyone expects them to do two jobs at once anyway!
*sigh* And I’m HOPELESS at multi-tasking…
I’m sure you’re brilliant at multi tasking – looking after grandchildren, reading, writing, blogging! I’m exhausted….
Ah… but I’m rubbish at doing more than one of those tasks at a time! And frankly, I really, really could use at least one other clone. Preferably before the end of August!
Haha – if you find a way of cloning please let me know!
Lynn 😀
I’m working on it!
😀
A Time Turner is a must. Think how much more I could read! How much sleep I can catch up on! 😀
Invisibility cloak is a close second. Think of the mischief I can get up to with tha-er, I mean, of course not…
I did think of an invisibility cloak – definitely thinking of the mischief… that is, er, … *tries to come up with another reason* – I’ll think of one directly!
Lynn 😀
Aaaaaaannd…. the Time Turner is the winner!!!! 🙂
It would seem that we are all on the same page here (also known as “Great Minds Thinks Alike”! LOL LOL)
Who could turn down a time turner!!
Lynn 😀
I agree with all your items. A car like that would be awesome to have…And the time turner! 🙂
Invisibility cloak = because sometimes it’s needed
A wand = so I can do spells like Apparitions and stuff
A pensieve = so I can return to pleasant memories. I wonder if wizards’ memories are altered like ours as time goes on. When they explore memories in the penseive, is it the true, original memory or an altered one where someone’s sweater is now red instead of blue?
I was thinking the same thing about the pensieve – does it actually keep the memory correct and wouldn’t it be interesting to see whether people’s memory of the same event was actually different or not.
Lynn 😀
