“Waiting On Wednesday” is a weekly meme hosted by Breaking the Spine. Every Wednesday we get to highlight a book that we’re really looking forward to. This week I’m highlighting: Spiderlight by Adrian Tchaikovsky, check it out and be warned *scary cover*. This book looks awesome and sounds fantastic: ‘exhilarating fantasy quest from Adrian Tchaikovsky’ – do I really need to say any more? I think not, I rest my case and you’re welcome.
The Church of Armes of the Light has battled the forces of Darkness for as long as anyone can remember. The great prophecy has foretold that a band of misfits, led by a high priestess will defeat the Dark Lord Darvezian, armed with their wits, the blessing of the Light and an artifact stolen from the merciless Spider Queen.
Their journey will be long, hard and fraught with danger. Allies will become enemies; enemies will become allies. And the Dark Lord will be waiting, always waiting…
Spiderlight is an exhilarating fantasy quest from Adrian Tchaikovsky, the author of Guns at Dawn and the Shadows of the Apt series.
Due out August 2nd
Ooo… I LOVE Adrian’s writing! Somehow this one slipped through my radar – I’m also going to be hunting this one down – many, many thanks for your heads-up.
Actually, I hadn’t seen much about this one either – so it was a surprise for me too. I do like AT’s writing though.
Lynn 😀
Big NO on the spider, thanks for that! But yes, the story sounds really good, quests are always fun, right?
It does sound fun – that spider though!
Lynn 😀
Haha, this really is a scary cover! Like Tammy, I’m gonna take a hard pass on the spider. 😉 I do enjoy a good ragtag group on a quest, though!
Haha – I did say to watch out for the scary cover. He is a very good author though.
Lynn 😀
Spider or not, I can’t resist a good quest – nor a Dark Lord lurking in the shadows… 😀
Feel like I’ve been seeing the book and cover going around forever! Release date is (finally) close!
Haha – would you believe this is the first time I’ve seen or heard of it! Too funny.
Lynn 😀
I’m so looking forward to this! I’ve never read Adrian Tchaikovsky before, so this is really exciting 🙂
It looks great doesn’t it!
Lynn 😀
I’ve been wanting to read Tchaikovsky and this may be a great place to start!
I think so – it certainly looks very interesting.
