Waiting on Wednesday: Crooked Kingdom (Six of Crows #2) by Leigh Bardugo
“Waiting On Wednesday” is a weekly meme hosted by Breaking the Spine. Every Wednesday we get to highlight a book that we’re really looking forward to. This week I’m highlighting: Crooked Kingdom (Six of Crows #2) by Leigh Bardugo.
Kaz Brekker and his crew have just pulled off a heist so daring even they didn’t think they’d survive. But instead of divvying up a fat reward, they’re right back to fighting for their lives. Double-crossed and left crippled by the kidnapping of a valuable team member, the crew is low on resources, allies, and hope. As powerful forces from around the world descend on Ketterdam to root out the secrets of the dangerous drug known as jurda parem, old rivals and new enemies emerge to challenge Kaz’s cunning and test the team’s fragile loyalties. A war will be waged on the city’s dark and twisting streets―a battle for revenge and redemption that will decide the fate of magic in the Grisha world.

This series is on my TBR! I’m excited to read it. I’ve heard a lot of good things about.
It’s really good – and so looking forward to No.2.
Lynn 😀
I really need to make time to read Six of Crows. I just love these covers!
This cover is excellent – you don’t even notice all the finer detail at first. Really impressive.
Lynn 😀
Why am I (and millions of other readers) so attracted to anything with “crow” in the title? I know why I’m attracted to certain covers, and I love this one!
It’s a fantastic cover that I really love – you completely overlook all the detail at the bottom and then you’re like – woah!!
Lynn 😀
Wo! I just noticed how the bottom of the crows body outlines the city. That is so cool.
I know – it really is an awesome cover!
Lynn 😀
YES I NEED THIS BOOK NOW! Great pic!

It’s a great cover isn’t it – full of detail that you don’t at first notice.
Lynn 😀
Book 1 is already sitting on my reader and sometimes it flaps its wings to attract my attention… I must do something about it, and quickly! 😀 😀
Haha – yes, you don’t want to make that Crow angry!!
Lynn 😀
Heck yeah, I’d like to continue this series. Book one got really good at the end, hopefully the momentum will carry through to the sequel 🙂
I hope so. I do love this cover as well!
Lynn 😀
I’m horrible. I’m going to pass on this book. Everyone else seems to have loved it though.
I really did love it – I don’t know why but it just struck a chord – maybe it’s because I hadn’t read the other Grisha books by Bardugo so I didn’t know what to expect and it was all new to me.
