Every Tuesday over at the The Broke and Bookish we all get to look at a particular topic for discussion and use various (or ten) examples to demonstrate that particular topic. For our final TTT for 2015 the topic is:
Anticipated Releases For The First Half of 2016
I have a lot of books that I’m looking forward to in 2016 – I’ll probably schedule a full list at the start of the year but in sticking to my ten, and in no particular order, this week’s choices are:
- Wheel of Osheim by Mark Lawrence, June 2nd
- City of Blades by Robert J Bennett, January 26th
- The Thorn of Emberlain by Scott Lynch, July 21st
- Morning Star by Pierce Brown, February 9th
- Medusa’s Web by Tim Powers, January 19th
- Snakewood by Adrian Selby, March 15th
- 13 Minutes by Sarah Pinborough, February 18th
- Fire Touched by Patricia Briggs, March 8th
- The Dragon Round by Stephen S Power, July 5th
- Time Siege by Wesley Chu, July 12th

Ahhhh! So many good’ns I forgot! The Thorn of Emberlain I’m so looking forward to and I must get on with my Mark Lawrence collection! 😀
There are so many good books coming out this year – I really didn’t want to stick to 10 but then I figured I might just do my own list and make it a bit more comprehensive.
Lynn 😀
That’s a good idea – and it’s always good to be overly ambitious at the start of a year! 😀
Absolutely – make plans, form resolutions and then have even more fun by breaking them all!
The ultimate goal!
Indeed 😀
Great list! I can’t believe I didn’t have Medusa’s Web, I’m a huge Tim Powers fan. City of Blades is coming up very soon on the pile, ooh and Morning Star!
Medusa’s web does look and sound really good. And, I can’t wait for City of Blades.
Lynn 😀
Can’t wait for The Wheel of Osheim !!!
I know – so excited.
A new Gentlemen Bastards book in July??!! I need to write myself a reminder for that one 🙂
Well, supposedly July – I really hope so. 😀
How did I miss Time Siege on my list! A serious oversight on my part! Oh, wait. I guess its because I only did Debuts and new Series. Great picks! I’m also curious about 13 minutes!
I seriously want to read 13 Minutes. I really, really like Pinborough. I have to come and look at your list right now!!!
Yes to every single one of these!!! 😀 Think I may be most excited to check out Snakewood.
It sounds really intriguing doesn’t it – and I love the cover!
Lynn 😀
Fire Touched! I need it so badly. Even though I just read a bunch of books by her in the summer, I feel like I’m going through Patricia Briggs withdrawal. I also need to catch up on the Gentlemen Bastard’s series before The Thorn of Emberlain comes out!
Yes, I definitely want Fire Touched in my life – right now. I love that series. And, yes to Lynch – I can’t wait, I’m not sure the date is set in stone though so you have time to play catch up and the good thing about that is everything will be fresh in your mind.
Lynn 😀
With the release of Morning Star, I can *finally* binge the series…IT’S BEEN A LONG WAIT.
Cheers,
Joey via. thoughts and afterthoughts.
I quite like waiting for the full series too – I hate long waits in between books although in this case I read the first book just when book 2 was due out so it’s not felt too bad for me. I hope you enjoy these.
Lynn 😀
Morning Star! And the new Scott Lynch! I’m also looking forward to the third Prince Jal adventure and Dragon Round and Patricia Briggs and oh hell, your whole list 🙂
There are such a lot of good books due out! I’m so excited.
Lynn 😀
There are so many books coming out next year that I’m looking forward to. This is probably the worst thing about bookblogging, really; discovering so many good standalones and good series that you know your reading list is never really going to end. :p
This is exactly what I was saying to someone recently – it’s like we all work each other up into a frenzy by constantly looking ahead – I don’t feel like I’ll ever catch up sometimes – but it’s all good.
Lynn 😀
