Every Tuesday over at the The Broke and Bookish we all get to look at a particular topic for discussion and use various (or ten) examples to demonstrate that particular topic. This week we’re looking at:
Top Ten Best Books I Read In 2015
Now, frankly, this is too early for me to make that list – there’s a jolly good list over at The Speculative Herald (found here) and I will make my list at the very end of the year – because I want to squeeze in every last little drop of reading before I decide – you just never know. So, instead of 10 best books for 2015 I’ve gone for 10 awesome book covers for books I read in 2015. (I may have slightly gone over 10 – but….)

I really want to read Twelve Kings! It seems like an amazing read, and now that I’ve seen it on a ‘best of’ list, I’m even more excited about it. It seems you’ve read some really intriguing books this year, I’m off to Goodreads to check some of these out!
Twelve Kings is an absolutely excellent read. I loved it and it definitely deserves a place on the top 10.

That BenTripp book looks amazing. I really want to read Black Heart too!
OMG – I think you will love the Tripp book, it’s ace! Black Heart was the end of the Curse Worker series and it was really good – I do like Holly Black.

Ooh I loved Flex. It wasn’t my favorite favorite this year, but it was a favorite during that month’s reading, and a top book in the big picture of the year.
My top ten list is here, if you’re interested: http://www.bookpunks.com/year-books-best-books-2015/
Flex was just so original and it pretty much grabs you right from the start! Highly entertaining – did you read Flux yet?
If you have not read Daughter of the Forest by Juliet Marillier, you really really should. Its my favourite by her that I have read!
I have it waiting on my kindle – I have a bit of a quieter month this month and next so I’m hoping to catch up on some of my own bought books. I must admit I’m really looking forward to that one.
Lynn 😀
Great list! I haven’t read any of these but a couple are going on my wishlist. Especially Ghostwalkers.
I enjoyed Ghostwalkers – it was a bit crazy but highly entertaining.
Lynn 😀
Ohh some gorgeous covers there! Particularly like The Dinosaur Lords and An Apprentice to Elves covers 😀
Yeah, they’re both lovely covers – Dinosaur Lords is really eye catching and there are plates at the top of each chapter too which are great. The Apprentice to Elves book is beautiful.
Lynn 😀
Must.. have.. all.. the shinies!!
Really must!
Ha ha, I know what you mean. There are still two weeks left! I look forward to seeing you list soon, but in the meantime this was a fun list. So many great covers!
I know right! I could potentially read 3 or 4 books and just who knows! I love all those covers.
Lynn 😀
Oooh, great idea! I am such a sucker for pretty book covers. Todd Lockwood, the artist who does the Lady Trent covers, is so great. I’ve also been very impressed by the covers for Juliet Marillier’s Blackthorn & Grim series – both of them are very pretty!
I love both of those too – I like the way the Trent books unfold – they’re so lovely to look at. And the Blackthorn and Grim books – they’re so eye catching and beautiful.
Lynn 😀
I love the covers for Dreamer’s Pool, Twelve Kings and The Dinosaur Lords. I am also leaving my Top 10 post till the very end of the year – as you never know what you might finish in the last day or so!
My thoughts exactly 😀
Haha, yeah I don’t know about anyone else, but I sure can’t narrow mine down to 10. I’ll be posting my summary/lists later too, because yeah I gotta cram in as much reading as I can before 2015 ends!
I know – you could read an absolutely outstanding book in the next two weeks! 😀
So much reading to be done!! I’m glad I finally got Sleeper and the Spindle so I can get to that soon 🙂 Also my copy of the Lives of Tao finally came in so I’ll start on that while waiting for Time Salvager to come in!
I think you’ll love the Tao books – I’m always a bit wary going into anything sci-fi but those three books are excellent and I really thoroughly enjoyed them. Time Salvager is also really good and so completely different from his first series – quite an achievement given how successful they were (you’d think he’d try something similar but not a chance!)
Lynn 😀
I haven’t read any of these, I will have to check them out
Missie @ A Flurry of Ponderings
I think we all come away from these posts with many new additions to our TBRs!
