Waiting on Wednesday

“Waiting On Wednesday” is a weekly meme hosted by Breaking the Spine.  Every Wednesday we get to highlight a book that we’re really looking forward to.  I love the Mercy Thompson series – I’ve already seen this around the place, but even so, I really want it!!!!!!  Due March 2016.

Fire Touched by Patricia Briggs:

Mercy Thompson has been hailed as “a heroine who continues to grow and yet always remains true to herself.”* Now she’s back, and she’ll soon discover that when the fae stalk the human world, it’s the children who suffer…

Tensions between the fae and humans are coming to a head. And when coyote shapeshifter Mercy and her Alpha werewolf mate, Adam, are called upon to stop a rampaging troll, they find themselves with something that could be used to make the fae back down and forestall out-and-out war: a human child stolen long ago by the fae.

Defying the most powerful werewolf in the country, the humans, and the fae, Mercy, Adam, and their pack choose to protect the boy no matter what the cost. But who will protect them from a boy who is fire touched?

I have GOT to read a Mercy Thompson book! I feel like the only person on the planet who hasn’t yet. I hope you get a copy soon!

Tammy! You are not alone. I’ve not read them yet either. 🙂 Some day …

I think that once a series has this many books it’s a bit daunting isn’t it! I bought the first three all together. The first one I didn’t really enjoy that much but because I’d bought all three I carried on. I’m glad I did. The first is definitely not a good indication of the rest of the series.

I know – I would actually love a copy of this – although I can wait. I’ll read it eventually.

    GAHHHHH! GIVE ME. NOW.

And I didn’t really enjoy the first book all that much either! I think it’s like that with a lot of UF series though, they don’t get better until books 2-4ish. Now I love Mercy and every time a new book comes out I’m like WANT.

Yep – I didn’t really enjoy the first of the Dresden Files either to be honest. I love Mercy though. She’s such a great character.
