Death, Flex and Clakkers

Art it Up.  This is a meme hosted by Tabitha over at Not Yet Read.  The idea being to see if you can come up with some inspiration for a little sketch or doodle from your last week’s reading or just anything else in general. My recent reading includes Flex by Ferrett Steinmetz, The Death House by Sarah Pinborough and I’m currently reading The Mechanical by Ian Tregillis.  This weird little picture is a strange mash-up!

Haha, how does Mario play into this? Flex, I’m guessing?

And are you enjoying The Mechanical? I thought it was awesome!

The Mechanical is excellent – and I’m only up to about 60% in but I think I have an inkling of where it’s going – well, not the story, but just one element. And wtf is going on with the operating on the priest all about – gross!! But also addictive.
Yes – Mario pops up in Flex courtesy of Valenine’s obsessive gaming.

Looks like something from one of my dreams. Although lately my dreams are Malazan based.

Trust Mario to show up when no one needs a plumber.

    “Anyone need a plumber?’
“Not now Mario. There’s a house on fire and a bloody great airship in the sky.”

a burning house..a dirigible, a cemetery and a Mario brother? ! Haha that definitely is an awesome mash up!

It’s a bit psychedelic isn’t it. I should have used a bigger piece of paper – I wanted to make Mario’s big really huge – in the foreground – kind of freak everybody out!

Super Mario???? Actually, the opening for Super Mario Galaxy is similar to this!

Exactly – I simply needed a few pipes and coins and bingo!

Ha! I spotted the Flex influences 🙂 Great integration of the others (I can tell which they are as well, just haven’t read them yet).

Haha! That is awesome. I love that Mario is in there! And I part of me wants to pretend that the house is actually Luigi’s mansions, and Mario just got jealous

Hahah! that was exactly my plan …. Luig’s mansion in the background and Mario escaping the scene mwahahaha – but not really. However, now you’ve brought it up I’m going to insist that it was always my idea – *cackles like a maniac*
      Lynn 😀
