  3. Black Heart by Holly Black – one of my series to be completed
  4. The Silver Bough by Lisa Tuttle – just picked this up on a whim
  5. Red Delicious by Kathleen Tierney – loved the first (Blood Oranges) and so very excited to read this. Thanks to Fantasy Review Barn and Bibliosanctum for getting me into this series.
  6. The Oversight by Charlie Fletcher – I’ve just really liked the look of this for some time and then I also saw an excellent review from Not Yet Read here.
  7. Cursed Moon by Jaye Wells – really looking forward to this! Really enjoyed Dirty Magic.

  5. The Unremembered by Peter Orullian – this looked very intriguing so we’ll see.
  6. Voyage of the Basilisk by Marie Brennan – so happy to receive this book that I danced a little jig!

Events:

Readalong of Max Gladstone’s Three Parts Dead with Susan at Dab of Darkness.  Being joined by some lovely bloggers – it’s still not too late to join in the fun.

You had a much better month than me! 🙂

    • lynnsbooks

Really – have you been having a busy social month or just plain working damned hard??

      • lipsyy

All work and no play I’m afraid 😦 Booooo!

      • lynnsbooks

‘it happens! Work is good though – play is nicer mind you!!
        Lynn 😀

      • lipsyy

        So, so, true! 🙂

      • lynnsbooks

        😀

Thank you for the mention, I hope you enjoy The Explorer. And wasn’t The Death House brilliant? I cried buckets 😦

    • lynnsbooks

It was a great book. Need to write a review yet but I’m trying to get my act together first. That ending – I was like ‘nnnnnooooooooo’ but also ‘yesssssss’ and then ‘sob sob’ What is SP trying to do to us!

  3. Mogsy @ BiblioSanctum

What a great month you had, and I too danced for joy for you when you got Voyage of the Basilisk! I hope you’ll enjoy it. I thought it was really good, but then I also adored the first two books. I know the reviews for the series have been mixed, but I love it.

I also put an order in for The Iron Ghost (and Those Above, while I was at it) at The Book Depository last week, I can’t wait til my books come!

    • lynnsbooks

I’m always ridiculously pleased when I’m approved for a book that I really want – and also a little bit disbelieving – I download to my Kindle before anyone can change their mind! I’ve really enjoyed the Marie Brennan books so far – I guess they’re not for everyone but that’s the beauty of books I suppose.

Can’t wait for you to read Iron Ghost. I think it was brilliant and I hope you do too!
      Lynn 😀

Looks like you had a good reading month. I hope you enjoy your new books and have more happy reading in March 🙂

    • lynnsbooks

thanks – I’m really looking forward to some of these. Hope you have a great March too.
      Lynn 😀

  5. Tabitha (Not Yet Read)

I just finished DIRTY MAGIC the Other day. Seriously enjoyed it! Oh amt Voyage of the Basilisk is by Marie Brennan, not M.L. I used to think they were the same person.

    • lynnsbooks

Doh! I do know that – I’m just a massive idiot (and I need a proof reader) and the reason I know that is I’ve already made that mistake once already!!!! Thanks so much for letting me know – nothing worse than getting the author wrong!!!
      Lynn 😀
btw – loved your interview over at SCFlynn – you should totally carry on with your blog look – it’s a great look, I love the characters and it’s really original/professional looking. It would be good if you added some of your doodles each time you post but I guess it’s pretty time consuming to do that really.

  6. Lisa (@TenaciousReader)

Ok, I need to look up what Black Heart is! I’ve read and enjoyed a couple of Black’s book, and love the cover for this one 🙂

    • lynnsbooks

I also like Holly Black. I loved her fae series and the Coldtown book. The Curse workers series is YA – it starts with White Cat and then I think Red Glove. It’s a good series though and I will definitely finish it.
      Lynn 😀

  7. Danya @ Fine Print

Wow, completing ten series is a serious impressive goal! I don’t think I could do it…mostly because my unfinished series are almost all UF with 6+ books in each. I’m usually not very good at marathoning books but I’ve read three in one series back to back recently and I actually quite enjoyed it! Definitely recommend the marathon strategy. I have the first Tao book too, I would totally read it with you!! 😀

    • lynnsbooks

That’s a good idea – if you want to read the Tao book at the same time. Let me know when you want to kick off?
      Lynn 😀

  8. Molly Mortensen

Wow you had a much better February than I did. Golden Son was so good! Good luck finishing your series.

    • lynnsbooks

I’m going to try completing a series each month – i’ve mostly only got one book left to read for most of my series so hopefully I could combine this with my backlist burn!
      Lynn 😀
