So last week I bought two new books (or it could have been the week before?? What is going on with the time at the moment?) Anyway, the above is a bit of a mashup of the titles. Did you guess?? No. Here goes:
Dr Sleep by Stephen King and Goldfinch by Donna Tartt – and OMG these are two HUGE books!
Looking forward to both, but which first???

My mother recently read Stephen King’s latest book, Doctor Sleep, and she said it was brilliant. She’s read all of his works so I guess if you like King you’ll probably like this one.
Oh good. It’s been getting good reviews so I’m looking forward to reading it.

Dr Sleep. Please, please read Dr Sleep immediately and tell me if it’s a worthy sequel to The Shining! (I’m hoping so hard that it is, but am so scared that it’s not!)
It’s had very good reviews so fingers crossed that they’re all right! I know what you mean though – I think it’s the fear of my own expectations that sometimes makes me delay, indefinitely, reading certain books – particularly end of series books!

Well I feel silly, I’m not all that familiar with Goldfinch. I hear Doctor Sleep is awesome!
I can’t wait to read Dr Sleep. Goldfinch seems to be getting good reviews and Donna Tartt’s Secret History was very good so fingers crossed.

The Goldfinch! It’s Tartt’s best work yet, which is really saying something.
Wow, really? I loved the Secret History. I wasn’t as keen on the second but it certainly hasn’t put me off. Can’t wait to read this.
