Yes, we were. In Bruge that is. Just a week ago. It’s a beautiful city, but don’t take my word for it – we did take a few pictures after all! I won’t bore you with all of them. I love the little chocolate shop – so tiny amongst the other buildings – it’s like Stuart Little’s shop! And, OMG, that cherry beer. I think I could easily develop a taste for it….

That’s a nice little chocolate shop 😉 Was that a mouse in a car on the chocolate???
Yes, a little mouse cruising round the goodies! I must say there are some very ‘ahem’ interesting looking chocolates – which I didn’t post here. Suffice to say the chocolate comes in all shapes and sizes and leave it at that.
The Cherry beer was very nice! Must look out for some of that over here.
Lynn 😀
snort! There was a chocolate maker in Albuquerque who had an adult section of her shop.
We did take a picture of some rather rude looking chocolate but I decided not to post it here! Chocoporn….
Lynn 😀
I hope you had fun in Bruges! It looks like fun, at least. That chocolate shop is utterly adorable. I love how tiny it is and the mice. ^-^
Thank you for sharing!
Bruge really is a very beautiful city. It’s compact and certainly not the cheapest city we’ve been to but it’s well worth a visit. We had a great time but we also had a car so managed to visit a few places in Belgium at the same time.
That little chocolate shop is totally cute!
Lynn 😀
Bruges looks like a beautiful place to visit. Thank you for sharing these lovely photos. I love that little chocolate shop it’s me sized 😛
I know – that little shop is so cute – the table and chairs at the bar next to it looks bigger than the shop!
Lynn 😀
Cherry beer? I need to get me some of that. 😀
This goes on my list of places to visit – it looks so quiet and peaceful! And that shot of the mini chocolate shop from the outside? It looks like something out of a fairytale. Like Number Twelve, Grimmauld Palace or something – “Only the worthy may set eyes on the chocolate shop.” 😛
OMG that cherry beer was sssoooooo nice! Really. I could develop a taste for that with no problem whatsoever. I don’t think we have it over here but I don’t know why – it was very popular in Bruge. Bruge is a very attractive city. It’s not massive and probably you only need a couple of days. On the downside it’s certainly not a cheap city – but there’s always ways to be economical. The whole city actually as a bit of a fairytale feel – I imagine it would be lovely to see in December with all the Christmas lights and markets.
Lynn 😀
Um did you mention chocolate and beer? I think I’m in love with Bruge!
That cherry beer – I have to find out if it’s sold here. It’s delicious!
Lynn 😀
This is wholly unfair. People like you are going cool places like this, while I am left with Central Washington. 😦
Poor you – just left with Central Washington – LOL! I must admit that I wanted to go to Bruge after seeing the film. It’s a beautiful place – very touristy, and certainly not cheap, but great for a weekend break. One day, one day, I will get to Washington!
Lynn 😀
We’d love to have you here, but come all the way to the coast. It’s much better here than in the interior. :p
yes the cherry beer does sound good. You could drink too much of that too fast, I should think!
a fairy tale city, yes, I can see that! it would be lovely in the snow with the lights at the holidays.
The cherry beer is gorgeous. I could develop a taste for it.
Lynn 😀
Oh, I love that city! I’m pretty sure they have the best chocolate in the world there.
Not to mention cherry beer! Cherry beer and chocolate – what a combo!
Lynn 😀
