Countdown to 2026: Day 18 – Christmas Cards – a book with a message

Once again I am counting down to the New Year, as with the previous years I shall be highlighting at least one book per day to fit the prompt on that given day.  The main aim for this countdown is to highlight some of my reads during the past year and to shine the spotlight on them once again (although some of the prompts relate to forthcoming reads).

Today is Day 18 of the countdown to 2026 and a list of prompts can be found here if you wish to join me in counting down to 2026 and casting a spotlight on some of your favourite books.

Today’s Prompt: Glitter – Christmas Cards – a book with a message:

Witchcraft for Wayward Girls by Grady Hendrix:

This book gave me plenty of food for thought.  Particularly about what these girls went through.

13 Days Remaining

Tomorrow’s prompt: Christmas Carols – a book with musicians, song or instruments

This gave me lots to think about, great choice!

Yes, I’m not sure that it has a message as such but it was one of those stories that stayed with me and provoked plenty of thought after I put it down.

This was a good story and really quite harsh what some of the girls went through – it was perhaps more thought provoking than an actual ‘message’ but it stayed with me for a while after finishing.

Thoroughly enjoyed this one. Very Grady Hendrix.

It was such a good read and I loved the rising feel of hysteria and chaos at the conclusion.
