Today I’m returning to the Friday Face Off, originally created by Books by Proxy). I’ve missed these for the past few months and so would like to get back to comparing covers (and hopefully I will be updating this page with a new banner. This is an opportunity to look at a book of your choice and shine the spotlight on the covers. Of course this only works for those books that have alternative covers (although sometimes I use this to look at a series of books to choose a favourite). . So, if you have a book that has alternative covers, highlight them and choose your favourite. If you’re taking part it would be great if you leave a link so I can take a look at what you’ve chosen.
This week my book is The Ghost Ship by Kate Mosse. Here are the covers:
My favourite:

Which is your favourite?
Join me next week in highlighting one of your reads with different covers.
I like that cover too but I own the first one, whose turquoise color I like as well.
Yes, I also like the turquoise and its the cover I’m most familiar with. Have you read this – I’d like to go back and finish it – I was in a poor reading mood when I originally picked it up so I didn’t give it a fair chance.

They’re all really nice, but the first and third are my favorites.
I was only familiar with the first cover so was surprised by these others. The third is really striking but I do like the turquoise.

Okay, I like your choice so much better than the US version, which was the only one I knew before today. I also got the book unsolicited from the publisher, and remember not being impressed with the cover. Had it come with that third cover though, I would have been excited to check it out!
I know what you mean, covers can really turn you on or off in terms of wanting to pick a book up.
