August : My Month in Review
August has been amazing. It’s also sped by like a runaway train with no driver. I’ve had a good month, in spite of the pretty horrible weather, and hope you have too. I’ve not done as much reading because the socialising has taken over a little. Anyway, here’s my month in review:
Books read:
- The Stillhouse Lake by Rachel Caine
- Princess of Blood by Tom Lloyd – review to follow
- Snowspelled by Stephanie Burgis
- The Curious Affair of the Witch of Wayside Cross by Lisa Tuttle
- The Punch Escrow by Tal M. Klein
- The Word is Murder by Anthony Horowitz – review to follow
- I Am Behind You (Platserna #1) by John Ajvide Lindqvist – review to follow
- The Twilight Pariah by Jeffrey Ford – review to follow
My covers are here.
I have to give a special shout out for The Punch Escrow – it was so good.

I can’t deny that this looks like quite a few books – but, in my defence, (1) they all look very appealing and (2) they are spread out over the next 3 months so I figure it’s not quite as greedy as it may seem. Excuses, excuses, blah blah blah.

Kings of the Wyld is absolutely fantastic, enjoy!😀
Thanks Drew – I’m hoping to love it 😀
August was a good reading month for me, hopefully tomorrow I’ll have my round up posted. You are going to LOVE Kings of the Wyld!
I expect to love it – it’s certainly had absolutely rave reviews from everyone who I share similar books tastes with.
Lynn 😀
I’m going to try and fit in The Twilight Pariah this week, since it should be a quick read. I hope you enjoyed it!
It was a quick read and I did enjoy it. I think it could have been a little bit more scary but it was still a good tale.
Lynn 😀
It was a great reading month for you Lynn – I haven’t read any of these books, yet. But I have Shadowblack and Dogs of War, so I’m looking forward to seeing what you make of them, as well as reading them myself. Have a great September!
My reading felt a little slower this month but I suppose the bonus to that is that I’m not quite as far behind with reviews.
Lynn 😀
Still reading a steady stream of fabulous-looking books, though, Lynn:)
Thanks 😀
Looks like you read a great deal considering how busy socialising you’ve been and I hope you enjoy all those new books! Happy reading in September 🙂
