Last weekend the weather was glorious and so I was in the garden working like a maniac, this week, nothing but rain, so, back to the decorating. Not much reading this week because I’ve been so busy that the day has virtually gone before I even know what’s going on and then I just crash into bed. Anyway, my reads – not much to report:
- Skullsworn by Brian Staveley – completed and loved this – my review here.
- Avengers of the Moon by Allen Steele – not done very well – purely because of the aforementioned decorating – about a third in to this one.

And, next week I’m hoping to finish:
- Avengers of the Moon by Allen Steele which I’ve also just started.
- The Moonlight War by SKS Perry (SPFBO)
And, finally, my cover compare this week is a book I’m very excited to get to:
I like both these covers but I think this one is very ominous with the dark colour and the footsteps:

How was your week? What you currently reading?
Oh, good for you pushing forward with the decorating and working in the garden… I hope the weather continues to behave this coming week.
Well, the weather has not been brilliant – so we’ve been pressing on with the decorating. Slow and tiring though.
Lynn 😀
Oh it is! Sorry to hear you have had indiferent weather – we have had one of the best days of the year so far… Doubtless some kind of fluke, but at least I was able to take the grandchildren out.
Tuesday was a lovely day – today, quite cold (the Easter weekend was very mixed though).
Lynn 😀
Our weather has been beautiful, and I’m trying to spend more time outside as well. I just finished Strange the Dreamer and I’ve started From Ice to Ashes, which I hope to read this week. I’ll be happy to get through one book, I’m super busy these days too!
Life just takes over some times doesn’t it.
Lynn:D
I never get much reading done during vacations, so this last week has been pretty slow for me reading-wise as well. Disney World was fun but now I’m exhausted! I’m actually looking forward to getting back to my regular schedule and reading more books again, I’m so behind 😀
And Skullsworn was damn brilliant! Loved it as well!
Skullsworn was so good – I really couldn’t put it down. Disney World sounds like great fun but I imagine really draining! You need to get back home to have rest eh!
Lynn 😀
Skullsworn certainly looks good- love that cover! And same for The White Road. I totally agree, that cover with the footsteps is very ominous!
Skullsworn was so good. I hope The White Road is as good.
Lynn 😀
Funny how sometimes daily commitments seem to get in the way of our reading time, isn’t it? I hate those times when I reach the end of the day and realize I have not been able to read ONE page. One. Better luck with this week! 🙂
I know – my reading has been dreadful but I suppose sometimes you just have to do what needs doing – and it’s so shattering that you just don’t have the energy for anything else!
Lynn 😀
Even though I have been off for the Easter break, I haven’t done as much reading as I hoped. What with being busy getting ready for Easter (I had family and friends round for a large roast lamb lunch) and finishing off an assignment. When I have had time, I have been reading The People the Fairies Forget by Cheryl Mahoney and a book on Angels by Lee Faber.
I wish you all the best with your decorating and I hope you will have more time for reading soon! 🙂
At the end of the day when you’re busy your hobbies just take a little bit of a back seat don’t they – other wise it would cause you stress trying to do too much. I’m trying to keep on top of my commitments and in that respect things are okay but it’s just that time of year when things need to be done.
Lynn 😀
