Weekly Wrap Up : 9/4/17
This week was another quick one – the sun broke out so not only am I now trying to do bits and pieces of decorating but I’m also trying to get the garden back into some sort of semblance of order, so, basically, the house looks like a DIY experiment exploded and the garden looks like a jungle with a little pathway cut through it and I’m basically pooped! ย But, like the show, the reading must go on and, anyway, it gives me a good excuse to sit down. ย So this week I’ve read:
Last week’s reads:
- Borrowed Souls by Chelsea Mueller
- The Path of Flames by Phil Tucker
And, next week I’m hoping to finish:
- Skullsworn by Brian Staveley already reading this, about a quarter in and so far really enjoying it.
- Avengers of the Moon by Allen Steele which I’ve also just started.
And, finally, my cover compare this week:
My favourite, without a doubt – is this one:

How was your week? ย What you currently reading?
9 April 2017
I’ll be reading Skullsworn this week too! And yes, the sun’s out and stuff needs to get planted and the grass needs to be mown… ๐ฎ ๐ฎ ๐ฎ
As soon as the sun comes out you just realise how much there is to do. It’s exhausting! But necessary.

Wow I love these covers. Whoever is illustrating Stavely’s books is someone I need to look at lol. Love Avengers of the Moon and Skull Sworn both.
Greg @ Book Haven
They are lovely covers – Skullsworn was an excellent read too. Just started Avengers of the Moon and love the retro feel so far.

I just finished Royal Assassin which was awesome. Now I’ve got two pretty dark reads going; Life in Light of Death and Find Me: A Decade of Darkness, a Life Reclaimed, a Memoir of the Cleveland Kidnappings.
Wow, sounds like some interesting reads – I shall definitely look out for your reviews.

I am also ‘pooped’ from last week, as it was the last week of the term at my school. Now it is the Easter break! Which I have purposely made no big plans for so I can rest and recharge instead. I have just finished reading time-travel romance Indiana Belle by John A Heldt and I have just started The Fairies the People Forget by Cheryl Mahoney. Hopefully be able to fit lots of reading into my break ๐
Happy break and hope you have lots of chill out and reading time. I think I may be still decorating – boo!
Lynn ๐
Thank you and I hope the decorating goes well ๐
It’s a slow process – because of work. You’re tired when you get home and don’t feel like carrying on but slowly but surely it’s getting there.
Lynn ๐
Good luck with all your DIY projects, Lynn! They can be exhausting for sure. Can you believe that I still haven’t read anything by Brian Staveley? How embarrassing!
I hadn’t either until Skullsworn – which I loved.

The right-hand cover for the new Staveley book is my favorite: granted, the left-side one is quite evocative, but the other caught my attention and kept it there… ๐
Happy reading!
I’ve finished this – and loved it. Review shortly.

I can relate! While we’re waiting for the firm to tidy up after replacing our pipework, the garden and the house is a mess! I’m looking forward to seeing what you make of Avengers of the Moon – I’m reading it at present. Have a great reading week:)
Yes, I’m reading it at the moment but only about 10/15% in so far – enjoying it tbh although it’s probably too early to call.
