“Waiting On Wednesday” is a weekly meme created by Breaking the Spine. Every Wednesday we get to highlight a book that we’re really looking forward to. My book this week is : The Tiger’s Daughter (Their Bright Ascendency #1) by K. Arsenault Rivera. This sounds amazing! Bit of a long wait but I couldn’t help but highlight it!
The Hokkaran empire has conquered every land within their bold reach―but failed to notice a lurking darkness festering within the people. Now, their border walls begin to crumble, and villages fall to demons swarming out of the forests.
Away on the silver steppes, the remaining tribes of nomadic Qorin retreat and protect their own, having bartered a treaty with the empire, exchanging inheritance through the dynasties. It is up to two young warriors, raised together across borders since their prophesied birth, to save the world from the encroaching demons.
This is the story of an infamous Qorin warrior, Barsalayaa Shefali, a spoiled divine warrior empress, O-Shizuka, and a power that can reach through time and space to save a land from a truly insidious evil.
Due for release October 2017
This one looks great, Lynn:)
It’s lovely looking isn’t it and sounds fascinating – I was so excited when I saw it.
Lynn 😀
October! You tease me with this eight months before release? Beautiful cover.
I know – but sometimes you can’t have enough warning – NOW – you can be prepared LOL
Yes, this sounds so good! I love the beautifully illustrated cover, too. Great choice!
The cover is so good – and it sounds awesome doesn’t it!
Lynn 😀
Quite different in background and outlook from the usual norm for the genre: I think I might like this one very much 🙂
I think we both might = isn’t that cover stunning!
Lynn:D
This one sounds really good! And the cover is just icing on the cake.
Yep, it certainly is!
Lynn 😀
This one is new to me, but it does sound good. Also, the tag line on the book reminds me of Michael J. Sullivan’s series.
I am absolutely DYING to get my hands on this book. Apparently it features a queer romance too, which is super awesome. That cover artwork — swoon!
I’m really looking forward to this one too. That cover is simply stunning.
