Harry Potter Month (24)

Today is day twenty-four of my challenge to post each day about Harry Potter. Quotes, books, films, discussions and silliness. Today – I give to you my favourite character. This was difficult – I had lists – but I didn’t really need them because at the end of the day I know, pretty much, down to two characters who my favourite really is. Now, this might (or might not) be a popular choice, and there are a lot of great characters in this series which I think is one of the keys to its success. Lets face it – it would have been easier to go for a top 10, but here goes:

I have to agree with you, both for the choice of character and because it’s a fitting celebration of a great actor, gone too far ahead of his time… 😦
Ohh, I know – it’s so sad. I suppose the only thing you can think is that he’s left a little bit of himself behind for us all to remember him by.
RIP Alan Rickman, the world lost one of its greatest actors the day he died.

Nope – not difficult at all. I LOVED Severus’ character arc and I thought the film did a fabulous job highlighting the sheer poignant heartbreak of his life. I keep thinking how different it would have been if Lily had chosen him, instead… I cried when I saw the film and like you, am still heartsore that Alan Rickman was stolen away from us when there were a hatful of major characters he still had to play:(.
I loved Alan Rickman, such a very distinctive actor! And yes, his character arc is brilliant and upsetting and dramatic… So good.
I love Snape too and Alan Rickman portrayed him brilliantly, however my favourite character has to be Lupin 🙂
